Playing Catch Up - Day 3...

Hello!  It is my last day of catching up on projects that I forgot to share over the month.  I always say I'm going to do better next month, but let's be honest, that's probably not going to happen... :o)

Anywho, first up is this project that I created for Pretty Little Studio using the brand new Blooming Hearts collection.  I also used a cut file from Just Nick Studio:

And then, this card that I shared on the CardMaker Magazine blog using the new With all my Heart collection from Pretty Little Studio...see the full post here:

Whew!  And that wraps up March!  :o)

Playing Catch Up... [Paper Issues]

As we reach the end of the month I realize that, yet again, I've been terrible about blogging all my projects this month.  So...I'm going to try to catch up over the next few days.  Today's post is all about sharing the Paper Issues projects that I have yet to share here.

First up, a layout that I created with Bella Blvd's new Make Your Mark collection.  I scraplifted the amazing Cassie Box on this one:

Then, a layout that I made for the Spring crop.  This was a Follow-the-Leader challenge hosted by Annalie Maddock.  It was SO MUCH FUN.  She basically gave us a set of directions and told us how to cut our papers and where to place them:

And finally a layout made for the My Mind's Eye product spotlight.  I used their new Palm Beach collection:

CardMaker Magazine + Pretty Pink Posh Blog Hop

Good morning everyone!!  Welcome to the CardMaker Magazine + Pretty Pink Posh blog hop.  There are a ton of cute projects along the hop today to get you feeling inspired :)

We were so lucky to participate in this hop because Pretty Pink Posh sent us a lot of great goodies to play with.

For my card today, I dove right into the Friendship sequin mix and the Friends Forever stamp set.  The stamp set had these cool single petal stamps so you could basically build your own flowers, which is what I did.  I created 5, 6 and 7-petal flowers, colored them in with some Tombow markers and finished them off by adding the pretty sequins in as the flower centers.  I'm really happy with how it all came together:

I feel like this card is perfect to kick off the Spring season!

Make sure to keep hopping.  The next stop is the uber-talented Stephanie Gold.  And if you need to start at the beginning, you can do so at the CardMaker Magazine blog!

Anything Goes Issue || Paper Issues

Good morning, everyone!  Paper Issues' March Issue is an Anything Goes issue.  Literally.  Make anything you want and you're automatically eligible for the challenge.  Gotta love that!

For my layout I decided to dive into the new Meow collection from My Mind's Eye.  Honestly, it's a little weird that I got this collection because I don't have a cat.  But I just loved the cute color scheme and fun patterns of the collection, so I purchased the 6x6 paper pad and the puffy stickers.  I couldn't resist.  Plus I do have a few photos of my Mom's cat, Runt, that I knew I could scrap.  I know.  I have issues.  That's the point of Paper Issues.  LOL.

Anyways, after that super long explanation, here's my layout, complete with a cute cat picture and lots of pink and green goodness:

If you like this collection, you can still pick it up in the Paper Issues store.  Make sure to use code KAT20 when you check out, regardless of what you purchase, to save 20% off your entire order!  And make sure you play along with this month's issue to be eligible for a prize!

I also participated in The Color of Spring challenge, which asked you to keep your layout monochromatic.  I went with a mix of pretty, pink products for this one:

Paper Issues Product Spotlight || Cocoa Vanilla Studio Wild at Heart

Good morning, everyone!  It's one of my favorite prompts at Paper Issues today: Product Spotlight!  I love the product spotlights because they give me a great reason to use of some of my new, pretty products...that I would otherwise hoard.

Today's product spotlight is all about Cocoa Vanilla's Wild at Heart collection.  Have you seen it? OMG...it is so, so pretty.  Not my normal style because it's very floral-y, but it's amazing.

It was the perfect collection for me to use to scrap these pictures of my cute niece:

I can't wait to play with it more!!

Want the collection?  Make sure to use KAT20 at checkout and you'll get 20% off your entire purchase!

Paper Issues' Scraplfit Sunday

Good evening everyone!  Every Sunday on the Paper Issues Facebook page there is a Scraplift Sunday challenge posted.  I played along with this past Sunday's lift and it was a blast!!  We were asked to lift this stunner by Amanda-Jayne Baldwin:

I loved the background work she did, so I decided to replicate that idea with a star instead.  Then I layered on a bunch of Bella Blvd goodness and came up with this creation:

A little different from my normal, but SO MUCH FUN to create!

Hope you can play along with us!!

Make a Wish || Jillibean Soup

Good morning everyone!  HAPPY WEEKEND!!  I wanted to pop in and share a layout that I had on the Jillibean Soup blog a few days ago.

We finally got to play with the fun new collections and I dove right in.  For this layout I used the new Souper Celebration collection.  I also tried something a little different (for me).  I don't do a lot of hand-stitching anymore since I like to get layouts done pretty quickly, but for this layout I couldn't resist adding some minor stitching details around the stars I had cut out for background.  I really like the effect.

Once I had my background done, I layered on my photos and minimal embellies and called it complete!

The new collections should be available for purchase soon!
