A Few PL Shares...

Hi, everyone!  I am dropping in very quickly to share some recent Project Life spreads.  I am really into yellows, oranges and turquoises right now.  Those colors scream Summer to me, so I've been using them a lot.

Speaking of Summer, my first week to share includes the first day of Summer.  Not a lot happened this week (except that I dyed my hair red!), so I kept my spread to tiny page protectors:

And here is my week 27.  This was a bit of a hard week for us.  E had to get surgery for a torn pectoral muscle (ouch!) and I had to prep for a hurricane by myself.  Luckily, the hurricane ended up being no big deal, which was definitely a positive in an otherwise dreary week:
Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful week!

I ♥ Watercolors

Seriously, I do.  I love the variety of backgrounds you can make with them.  For this layout, I went for the easy, drippy background and then layered a whole bunch of pretty paper on top of it:

Most of the supplies on this layout are from the Curtsey Boutique.  Even though most of their products fall into the realm of shabby chic, I find it really easy to use their products with my style - which I would NEVER describe as shabby chic!

I hope you have a happy weekend!

The Studio Combines with Stuck?! Sketches

Things that I am terrible at recently?  Apparently, blogging.  Things have been very busy around here lately and I've had a bit of a difficult time juggling everything.  However, things are returning to normal and I'm quickly falling back into my old routine.

This month's sketch challenge at The Studio is super exciting because the team partnered up with Stuck?! Sketches.  They provided the sketch:

We provided the color combo:

And here is my take on it (I flipped the sketch on its side):

I hope you can stop by The Studio and join in the fun!

The Studio Stamping Challenge (and Design Team Call!)

Good morning, everyone!  The Studio has a new challenge posted on its blog this morning.  This one is all about stamping.  I've never been big into stamping, although I don't really know why.  I have a fairly large stamp collection.  I decided to create a background on which to build my layout.  I use black ink along with silver, purple and blue embossing powder.  Here is my background:

And here is my final project:
I've got to say, I'm not in love with it, but as I've mentioned here before, not every layout can be perfect.  And I did like my background before I added in all the other stuff.  Maybe a re-do is in order for the future!

Please head on over to The Studio to play along and see the other inspirational layouts from the design team!

And as I mentioned in the title, The Studio is currently having a design team call.  I highly recommend applying.  It is such a fun team to be a part of.  All the details can be found here and you have until 19 July to apply!
